CRKT’s Birler tactical pack axe is light enough to cut down on pack weight, yet it’s still burly enough to get everything you need done on a mission. Designed by Vietnam veteran Elmer Roush, the Birler draws on his 40 years experience as a blacksmith and enthusiasm for high caliber tools. The Birler is part of the Forged By Warâ„¢ program.*
Forged from 1055 carbon steel and outfitted with a Tennessee hickory wood handle, the Birler axe is in for the long haul and won’t give under pressure. Just like you. While it’s not the largest axe, you’ll be surprised with the work load it easily tackles. An aftermarket sheath will be available for the Birlerâ„¢ in the coming months.
